my worst idea yet
This should be a post full of hope and inspiration... right?
Instead, I'm tired AF and my eyes are dry and I can barely read and and and...
Anyways, Ghost has decided to work for all of 5 minutes. I have no idea why, just DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING.
I thought it would be fitting to move this site back to ghost a decade later. I was originally going to do the free trial then I thought... nah, I'd rather give myself a mental breakdown right before bed.
I'm not even sure how I'm going to use this, but I'm in the middle of this weird site a day challenge, so um, uh, THIS COUNTS AND NO ONE CAN TELL ME DIFFERENTLY.
I swear I didn't use to be someone who talked in caps. I was the more understated I'm yelling right now... internally type of person. Ya know, markdown.
I'm also in the middle of flux with my working setup. I've got a mac mini that I'm using instead of my mini linux PC because... well, I'm not a big fan of having a jet engine in my room and rust compilations turn that mini PC into this sort of thing:
quiet as a really quiet metaphor goes here
can barely hear it
OMG THERE'S A JET ENGINE TAKING OFF 5 FEET FROM MY EARS
barely audible
It's basically got an insane fan curve. Also, the thermal paste probably needs replacing but... I ain't even gonna try that with my luck with computers these days.
So um yeah.
There's now a mac mini.
And there's 20 different windows open and I can't find anything I need.
And look. I've tried yabai, I've tried aerospace. omniwm is getting there but it still just is never as seemless as hyprland.
So the short story is that my current theoretical plan is that I'm going to try niri (since omniwm got me interested in that scrolling concept) either on my jet engine mini pc (which will hopefully be quiet when it's not the one compiling the rust) or some other system capable of running niri and then I'll make mac mini the brain and use the SSH extensions to do my development on a sane box where I can find windows when I need them.
And there was more to that thought, but I am legit half asleep right now, so...
